Hello! Whew, it’s good to be back! My computer, lovingly referred to as Lappy, (not to be confused with my beloved ‘Lassi’ from one of our favorite shows), was in the shop (aka-sitting in pieces on our dining room table) for a few days. It’s been making what we refer to as, ‘the sound of death’ for quite some time, and when that happens, all I can do is hold down the start button until it turns off and let it ‘rest’ for a bit. It really stinks and even though I save my work frequently, I’ve had to re-draw several things because of this.
We’ve sent Lappy in 2 times before for this and he’s run well only for a couple of weeks before ‘the sound’ returns. The first time we were told that the fans and memory needed replaced… the second time, the hard drive needed re-formatting. Still, ‘the sound of death’ returned…
So, my husband decided after watching some youtube videos and reading up a bit that the hard drive actually needed replaced.. and, that he could do it himself. I wasn’t worried, he is my very own super hero.. it’s not just the hard drive, my husband is seriously kind of magical when it comes to fixing just about anything, even my spirit when from time to time it gets a bit broken…
After a little digging around, finding a local place to buy a new (and bigger, yay!) hard drive, he went to work! He managed to get me up and running pretty quickly after we located & bought the new hard drive! So! I’m back (yay!) and able to get my work done (double yay!) and I no longer have to worry about the sound of death! (triple.. well.. you get the idea!) I’m so grateful!
So, on to the FUN stuff! If you’ve ‘liked’ my Facebook page, you know that I’m working on some cute printables for slightly older kids featuring the Justice League characters I drew this summer. We are all big fans of the Justice League in this house, super hero’s in general are all well liked & admired here! Here’s a preview of the characters:

Well, I’ve got some emails to sort through and some work projects that I’m super excited to finish up and show you, so I’m gonna get to it! I may sneak in a picnic or perhaps a BBQ later today.. I hear the weather is going to be gorgeous if your here in California, enjoy it! xox, Mariah
