I’ve been packing things up to go visit Ted for the weekend in
Sacramento, and wanted to be sure I brought our camera.  I was happy to
find some cute pictures from a couple of weekends ago still on there and had to share them, they are just too cute!

The kids always seem to convince us that it’s not too early to swim at the end of April, here they are happy as can be after a fun day in the pool!

I love this picture of little Casey, he’s such a sweetie! He always insists through shivering blue lips that he’s “not cold!” but he’s also always the first one out of the pool!

We’ve had a lot of fun playing ‘Rock Band’ lately! J totally looks the part.. T and I are not sure our 31 year old selves look quite as cool rockin’ out to Journey and Bon Jovi ;P We named our band the “Happy Tree Rangers”… T chose ‘Happy’ I chose ‘Tree’ and J chose ‘Rangers’.. it was either that or ‘The Platypus’ – both equally awesome to be sure!

Jumping back outside again; 3 years after living in our home, I saw an extraordinary thing the other day… while hangin’ in the back yard, something RED caught my eye, I walked a little closer to it and discovered that our cute little tree near the grass was no ordinary tree at all, it was a CHERRY TREE!  What a happy discovery!  To know that this little tree has been quietly growing and maturing here all this time and has now, for the first time bear fruit was so great!
I’ve been hoping that my life would soon do the same on many different levels, so it pretty much made my day!  It’s a very encouraging reminder to me that the best things sometimes take more time than we want or expect them to, and sometimes we dont expect anything extra-ordinary at all when all of the sudden after years of perseverance & faithful growth, FRUIT appears from our very own branches! AMAZING!

…and this last one is from waaaay back in October when we celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary… and I suppose there’s no real rhythm or reason to my including it in this entry…

I just miss him a lot.. . and am unbelievably proud and honored to be his wife.

Well, I’d better hop into bed!  We have a lot to do before we leave tomorrow!  Have a great weekend!
