As you know, I haven't been around the blog world for quite some time so, when I was catching up yesterday I read a post on one of my favorite blogs {Sarah Jane Studios} that left me in awe…
Surly by now everyone has seen the beautiful posters & preview for, "Where the Wild Things Are" …
…well, a clever & talented illustrator named Cory Godbey started a blog called, The Terrible Yellow Eyes It is AMAZING! I was so inspired by all the amazing work there that I had to draw my own wild thing drawing inspired by the original works by Maurice Sendak {above}. I loved the book growing up & am so excited for the movie.. I just couldn't resist! I hope you like it! Thanks Sarah for sharing your favorites from Terrible Yellow Eyes Blog! You can check them out right HERE! Enjoy! ….it's good to be back!

I’m exploring your blog for the first time and I have to say I love it. I LOVE your honesty and can appreciate everything you talk about because I feel those same fears and insecurities as an artist! I think so many of us [artists] feel that way, but it’s refreshing to hear it from others. You really put yourself out there and that’s never easy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. I’m looking forward to reading more. I’ll definitely be subscribing.
Thank you so much Laura ^_^ It certainly can be tough… if we share our stories though we can encourage each other and become everything we are meant to be! Everyone needs encouragement while pursuing their passion, and just hearing someone say that they have felt that way, or had to deal with a similar situation can be very comforting ^_^ What’s that quote my dear friend Christine sent to me? … “Friendship Is Born at That Moment When One Person Says to another, ‘What! You Too? I Thought I Was the Only One”
Do you have a blog too? I’d love to read it! Thanks again for your words sweet Laura! {{hugs}}
I love the book, and I have to admit, perhaps because we’re so immersed in pre-toddler twin boys, that I had totally missed that a movie was coming out. I look forward to seeing it sometime in 2011!
I loved your rendition. I’m so inspired by folks who are drawn to create visual art. My art is in my writing, and my visual art, well, meh… not really my gift this lifetime.
Thanks for bringing it out!
Thanks Mark! I can surly attest to your gift of writing! I know I’m better for your gift with words
Yeah! for 2011! Until then, enjoy your sweet little ‘wild things’ you have at home! What a blessing!! have a great day Mr. Silver, and thank you so much for your comment!
