{EDIT: I found the name of the book & illustrator the framed art is from. The book is called, "Small Rain, selections from the Bible" it was compiled by Jessie Orton Jones and was illustrated by Elizabeth Orton Jones.
This morning I went to take a few photos of the Illustrations I talked about yesterday and decided to take a little video tour instead. I took a couple of photos of my favorite details too though. Also, forgive me, the name of this illustrator is not coming to me, and the book I got them out is packed away at the moment… I will credit her as soon as I find it! Her work is quite breath taking, isn't it?
Now, here's the video:
Studio Tour from Mariah DeMarco on Vimeo.
It's a little blurry, but you will see some of the tools that I use on an almost daily basis, some of my favorites being my Cintiqu (of course) my basket of paper swatch books & my Swarovski crystal color chart.
You will also see some of my favorite things, like the set of vintage illustrations that T just hung for me over the weekend (there are still more prints that need to be hung that you see on the shelf, like this adorable one I bought from the lovely and very talented Sara Jane!) and the little swinging Bella shadow box I made a looong time ago. You will also notice my sons 1st drawing of us that totally tears me up and that I love so dearly and other things like my needle felting supply/stash…
If you watch carefully, you will see some sensitive information…. did you know hubby and I have secret identities? ^_^
Also, a little warning, I didn't hit stop soon enough when recording so you get a little hit of "The touch" by Stan Bush at the end …. We've been rockin Stan for a long time in this house…

thanks for the studio tour. i loved the vintage illustrations and your cabinets are fab! i missed the sensitive information and your secret identities. i love the song that is playing – is that where you got the name don’t forget? who is it by?
I adore your studio! I need a room like this!
Yes Lisa! That is why I named my flickr page “dont forget’ ^_^ It’s by Brett Dennen.. one of my very favorites! ^_^ The illustrations are from a book called, “small rain” and the cabinets are just from Ikea
I’ll message you about our secret identities
Thanks Jess! I’m very grateful for this space, it’s been such a nice way to work!
